This product is truly a top notch product in the field in which it resides. I have dabbled with various mp3 players with less than satisfying results, until i decided to purchase this beauty. The Hip Zip is the greatest thing to happen to mp3's since the creation of mp3's themselves, here is why.
The Iomega Hip Zip player is not only an mp3 player but also a windows audio player and a disk drive all in one. Yes, it is true, you can play more than just mp3's on this pint sized beauty, and in the future upgrades are going to be put out by iomega to let you play yet even more formats. And for all you people out there who are sick of your 1.44mb floppy drive use this little bad boy to store all of your digital photos or whatever it is you need extra space for.
A couple of the major benefits besides the fact that this player is a drive and a MULTI-media format player, are; media is a heck of a lot cheaper for this player than for other mp3 players and the upload speed is incredible. All you need for this player is the all but forgotten clik! disks which come in at around 10 bucks a pop and can hold 40mb worth of stuff. As for the upload speed, well all of you that ever need to hurry out the door there is no need to worry, the usb port is very fast and will have you set with plenty of tunes to listen to in the mean time. One other benefit to this player is that when you buy it they set you up with 2 disks for a total of 80mb to start out with and even a carrying case and headphones. One last major benefit is the built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery which they claim lasts for 12 hours on a full charge, but i believe they underestimated that because mine runs sometimes 14 or even more.
If you are in search of an mp3 player, i think your search has just ended, at least for me it did. Seriously this is the most well rounded easy to use mp3 player on the market today.
