We bought a satellite dish because we live outside the city limits and our subdivision does not get cable. Our reception was so bad, we couldn't even get network channels.
Our experience with using the dish has been great. We had some difficulty at first getting a signal.
Our experience with the purchase of the dish from a dealer through an ad on the radio was a nightmare. I will say Dish Network really went to bat for us on this one.
I love the fact that my son can watch educational shows like Franklin and Little Bear and fun shows like Scooby Doo. I personally like TVLand and all the old shows from when I was growing up. My husband lives for the food channel and home and garden tv.
My parents hate the fact that they can't watch local news when they come to visit.
At times, it's a little disappointing with all these channels that you can't find something decent to watch.
