The picture on this VCR is as Sharp as it's name

I bought this VCR on the advice of my sales person. I asked him what he had for under $200 that had VCR Plus and good picture quality. He showed me 3 VCRs and I was most impressed with the Sharp. But I didn't realize what a buy I really had until I brought it home.
Let me begin by telling you we have a cable box, so I had bought a universal remote control once for my T.V., the cable box and our old VCR. But the Sharp's remote control was far better than that one. It has 3 buttons to choose what you want (vcr, tv, cable/sat.), so you can use this remote as a universal as well. I mentioned that I originally wanted a VCR with VCR Plus capability, but programming is so easy with my Sharp that I never use it! After pressing the Menu button, it walks you thru the programming steps so that there's little chance for error. Of course if VCR Plus is your programming choice, it's only a button away. There are 2 speeds for rewinding and fast-forwarding, and you can easily view the picture while you're doing so -- it's not blurry nor has too many lines thru it. If you're watching a show that has commercials, there is a also a skip button that takes you thru 30 seconds of commercials at a clip. There is also a choice of 3 languages (English, Spanish and French) and an automatic clock set.
I'm not very good with technical aspects of the machine, but I sure can tell you that the picture is very clear, and the sound just as crisp. My needs for a VCR are minimal obviously, and for what we need it for, it exceeds all those needs.
