affordable Blaupunkt car stereo..

This is a Blaupunkt car stereo with CD player. It is listed as a high- power CD receiver with ORC 111 tuner. Not sure what all that means to you techies. But, to me it is a great system. I have a 1999 Saturn that I leased and could only afford to have a regular stereo installed. The cost for a CD player system was $500, out of my range. So after a little saving and shopping around, I found I could get a good system well under that price range. I purchased a Blaupunkt RPD 435, series 2. I did pay to have it installed since my car is leased and wanted to make sure I had stock connectors. But even with that, under $250.
This Blaupunkt system is very easy to learn to use and features 12FM and 6AM preset stations, seek and scan modes, noise reduction, stereo/ mono switching all at the touch of a button. With the CD it has all the options you need to listen to exactly what you want, scan, mix, repeat, track up and down, pause and play time indicators. Very easy for even me to use!
It is also very attractive and very sturdy, no cheap plastic that I am afraid to mess with for fear it will break or crack. I also chose this model because of its detachable face with one touch. I can remove it when I go to the mall or anywhere I leave my car unattended. It removes easily
and is small enough to keep in my purse or even to hide somewhere else in the care so as not to advertise what I have. Don't want to tempt anyone! Re-attaches very easily as well.
The sound it produces could be a little better but I am sure it has a lot to do with the speakers you use with it. All in all it is a great system and a very reasonable price! Definitely recommend to a friend!
