I loke this tv a lot compared to my 53XBR200. Problems with green line with XBR200; therefore, Sony exchanged it with an XBR300. This new set is better than the old one but not by a whole lot. Overall picture quality is sharper than XBR200 and there are a few new features. For those who are happy with their XBR200 and are considering upgrading, you may want to hold out for a 2000/2001 model because this set is not that big of a jump from yours. Vertical Compression works well; anamorphic DVD movies are very pleasing to look at. I was also considering the Toshiba TW56X81. After an hour of viewing it I didn't go for it because it wasn't that impressive, although the screen size was awesome. Overall picture compared to XBRs was different (and not necessarily worse).
