| cpurser's Full Review: Sony MDBUNDLE4 Personal MiniDisc Player |
If you are looking for an entry into the world of MiniDisc, this is it. It has all the elements needed to get started, for a price just about anyone can afford. This is one of the most used components in my system! It is so easy to record from any source - CD, TV, VCR, DVD, Radio, etc. But I mainly use it to record off of CDs and my Cox Digital Cable music channels. From my CD player I have an optical cable to the MD player for pure digital recordings. The sound is excellent from both the home and portable units. If you have a cassette deck in your auto, you can use a car kit and use your portable. A feature I really like is the ability to title the disc/tracks. This is made easy with the large remote containing the full alphabet. The portable is very rugged - I have never had a disc skip. Another feature I like is the ability to remove/add/move individual tracks. This is very useful.
I have very few complaints about this package. Probably the biggest complaint is that the home unit seems to turn itself on and off if there is no disc in the player. This is just a small annoyance and does not affect the performance of the unit.
