Digital 320 - What would you expect?
Sep 09 '00
I recently purchased the Polaroid Digital 320 for $45. The photo in my Epinions profile was taken with this camera. At first glance, the thin silver colored plastic case might lead you to believe this camera was just a toy; however, it does have some decent qualities for the price. The camera came with software, serial cable and a 9 volt battery.
Features:
* Holds at least 18 photos (built in memory)
* 15 second timer
* No flash (needs very bright light)
* Serial cable connection
* Tripod mount
* LCD picture counter
Images:
The resolution of this camera is 320 x 240. This is good for e-mail and web photos but you probably won't want to print them at this resolution. The manual says the camera holds 18 images; I have taken and stored up to 27 so far. This camera does not have a flash. It takes good pictures in daylight but I would not recommend it for taking indoor photos.
Battery Life:
I have taken and downloaded about 100 pictures so far and I am still on the original 9 volt battery.
Software:
The Polaroid PhotoMAX Image Maker software is worth the price of the camera. It is very easy to download, edit and save pictures from the camera or any other video source. The photos on the camera must be erased using this software. The software includes a "Photo Fantasy" feature witch allows you to "import" a face from any photo into many fictitious
magazine covers. So far, the software has performed flawlessly.
Overall:
The Polaroid Digital 320 would make a great starter camera for children.
