Basically, the PJB is a portable mp3 player built around a Laptop Hard-drive. The capacity is a whopping 4.89gig!! ( = 81 hrs = 100 CD's = 1200 songs). To upload that much will probably take a bit of time, even though it has a USB connector. To prevent skipping and save battery power the PJB has a 10 Mb memory buffer, meaning the Hard-drive only spins approximately once every 10 minutes. The navigation of that many song is made super easy with the large LCD display. It is a three tiered system, Set(Genre)-->Disk(CD or artist)-->Track(song within the Disk folder). The play can bet set to set, disk, track, or everything and the order of play can be set to sequential, repeat, or shuffle. There are three bass level and The songtime can be manipulated to about any way you could want to veiw it. The standard accessories include, headphones, A/C adapter/charger, a huge-ass Li+ battery, software, USB cable, and a carrying case.

Conclusion:

This is the future of digital music. Portable mp3 players will eventually allow the consumer to carry his entire music collection anywhere. The PJB is definately the best player out there! The large Display make it easy to use, USB is the fastest practical connection. The size is a bit large for an mp3 player, but average compared to a cassette player. Consideing price per Mb of capacity it's also the most economical. Ahem, however having the $800 (expected price tag) ready to spend may be another issue. I didn't think there would be a market for a $800 mp3 player, but the online auction on mp3.com (one a day Nov 19-Dec 16) has had high bids as high as $1700. So I guess I was wrong. If you can afford this player, get it!
