| ariafire's Full Review: Houston Cellular Mobile Phone Service in Houston |
I chose Houston Cellular because they offered a cheap rate of $20 for 90 minutes with a Nokia Cell Phone. Service is great. I have never once had a call dropped or a bad connection, no matter what city I am in. I think that is important in a cell phone. Who wants a phone who works half of the time? Not me. However, Houston Cellular charges me for minutes that I do not use. They tell me to erase my call time on a certain day of each month, and then to start over to count my 90 minutes. But for some strange reason they end up having almost 20 extra minutes added to each bill. Now, I am not sure how this happens since I am rarely on my phone and I do not use it every day. I have called repeatedly about this problem but no one can seem to help me. Another bad thing about Houston Cellular is the operators. They are just plain rude. Only once has one of them been decent instead of harsh and distant. They do not seem to care what your problem is, as long as they get off the phone with you.
If you are looking for a service plan with calls that are never dropped and decent ranges, then Houston Cellular is for you. But if you want a company who accurately records your time spent on the phone and who can give you pleasant help, then I would not recommend this service to you.
