| heatherlyn's Full Review: General Reviews of Alltel Customer Service |
I'm fairly young and I'm on the road a lot, so my father and I decided I should get a cell phone. He had one through Alltel, so we decided to go there to get mine as well. The plan I got was $39.99 a month with free nights (7PM - 7AM) and weekends with an additional 500 minutes free for peak minutes (20 cents a minute if I go over). The phone was free, and so was the activation. Included in the plan, I got all the goodies such as voice mail, caller id, call waiting, etc.
I got my first bill, expecting it to be outrageous because of the taxes, but it was $47 and some change, so I was pretty surprised... Pleasantly surprised.
I've had the phone for about 4 months now, and I've been out of town a lot, and no matter where I am, the phone works, and it's of great quality. I can always hear the person I'm talking to clearly, and they can hear me as well. All the other cell phones I've EVER used have been fuzzy. Not Alltel.
They've held true to all of my free minutes, and I know that because they send you incredibly detailed billing. Even their long distance is cheap and I have the local plan.
I've had to call customer service a few times to try to figure out how to set up my voice mail, and they were very kind and helping. Since I got that done, I've had no other reason to call customer service because everything with my plan is great.
I'd highly recommend this plan to anyone. It's a lot of bang for your buck.
