Pros: Excellent sound quality, very comfortable. Cons: Big to lug around, you pay for the quality.
I bought the pair originally just for music listening, and they work wonders for that. However, they also work very nicely with movies, TV, even good quality radio.

Pros: Extremely comfortable, detailed, well-balanced and non-fatiguing sound Cons: occasional intermittence problem with cord contacts, impedance is a bit high for some portable players

Great Headphones, Comfortable too
by edfj40 ,Nov 12 '04
Pros: great sound quality and bulletproof build quality Cons: cord problem (but easily fixed)
I've had these headphones for about five years now. I had the same cord problem as everyone else, but for 16 bucks I got a new one from Sennheiser and the problem hasn't returned. I've loved these headphones since the day I bought them. The sound is detailed and clean, with maybe a slight emphasis on bass, a very slight emphasis. I didn't even notice the extra bass until I purchased a set of HD600's. These phones are built to last and I wore them for 6+ hrs a day until I bought the HD600's. I still find the 565's more comfortable than the 600's, they're lighter.
