Pros: Great styling, Battery life, Feature, LCD Screen Cons: Antenna can break, should have more ringer tones
I got a black 800MHz CDMA StarTAC 7760 for use at work, and used it for about 8 months. I have also used a number of other phones and technologies, such as Qualcomm, Nokia, and Motorola iDEN phones.
I find the StarTAC to be a great phone,...

Pros: Reliability, Clarity, Convenience, Convenience, Convenience Cons: None
I've had cellular phones since 1989 and this phone is what cellular always promised to be- reliable as a hammer and small as a pager!
I struggled through the early years with 2 pound analog phones that were unreliable and too big to carry....

Pros: Slim, compact design, easy to use, vibrate instead of/in addition to ring, flip-phone style Cons: Antenna may break off after extremely heavy usage
I originally bought this phone because of it's nice, small size, but many of the other features were important, as well. I love the fact that I can wear it on my belt and keep it with me 24x7. The vibrate feature is also wonderful - I really hate it...

Pros: Small enough to put in the breast pocket. Slick look and feel. I love the backlit display. Cons: I have to charge it every night if I keep it on.
As a person who travels 5 days a week, I've become a fan of StarTAC's solely based on the size and weight. I usually slip it in my breast pocket and forget about it.
I had the last generation Nokia and decided that I wanted a smaller phone...

Pros: Small, light, solid body. Cons: Breakable antenna, speaker problems, battery life
This is my second opinion on this phone which I have had for about a year and a half now. My other opinion still holds true in it's description and praise for some of the features of the StarTAC 7760, but my overall evaluation of the product has changed...

Pros: Small Size, Convenience Cons: Dependability
I purchased this product because of the StarTac's small size and light weight. The 7760 certainly did not disappoint on this front. However, I did encounter mechanical difficulties relatively soon after my purchase of this phone -- perhaps because it...

Pros: Size Cons: Never works
I bought this product originally because of its size. It is the easiest phone to carry and comes with a handy holster which makes it easy to attach to a belt or pants.
I would say that the functionality stops there. I had to return this...

Pros: Small..Black...No More Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE...easily breaks
I wanted to place this hunk of junk under a table leg to even things out, but was afraid it would somehow devalue the table.
I initially bought this craze item phone because I was in the market for a cellular phone, and I was able to get one...

Pros: small Cons: poor user interface
When I originally signed up for cellular service, I received a big honkin' Nokia as a free phone with my GTE account. It was easy to use but HUGE. I wanted a mobile phone...not a portable one. I wanted something that would fit in my pocket without...

Pros: Great reception/reliability, good talk time, chaulk full of features... Cons: Steep price, small buttons, could be easy to loose if you're not careful...
I've had my StarTac ST7760 for quite some time now, I've upgraded from the Nokia 6185 (Sprint PCS), to the StarTac (MCI WorldCom, and it was the best choice I've ever made. The StarTac drops calls 90% less than the Nokia, and its small size makes it...

Pros: Size, Weight, Dual Mode, Ergonomically Designed BEST for Lowest Radiation of all phones on market Cons: Outdated Technology. 800MHz is too old.
When the startac first came out, it was probably the best and most desirable "gadget" that a person could have. In its debut, Motorola actually charged $1600 US Dollars for this phone!! That was only 4 years ago!
Since then, the...

Pros: small, vibrate function, indestructible Cons: breakable antenna, digital service
Seriously though, I bought this phone three years ago and before that I had always thought about how simple and inexpensive it would be to add a silent vibrate function to a phone. I mean you can get a pager for 3 bucks a month! When they came out with...

Pros: looks nice Cons: cheap, not well designed
This phone might look nice but it broke on me the 2 months after I bought it. The battery would not be charged after drained. I had the 1 year warranty, so I sent it to them and told them to fix it. When they got it, they said that they do not cover...

With cellular phones and service becoming such a thriving market these days, purchasing a cellular phone can almost be like buying a car. With so many different styles, types, names, and models it can be quite a task when choosing which one to buy....
