Pros: Small size, large viewing area Cons: Short battery time, worrisome static electric shocks
I've had my Star Tac for 4 months and am generally happy with it. I bought it for a couple reasons.
First, it is small enough to fit in my front pocket. When I was deciding which phone to buy, I was leaning toward a larger, less expensive...

Pros: size, weight, ease of use Cons: none
The Motorola StarTac 7760 is a great phone. If you are looking for a digital/analog phone this is one for you. The address book is easy use and enter numbers and names.

Pros: small and lightweight Cons: difficult to program and use
I've been using Motorola phones for years and this is my second StarTac. Motorola should have learned by now how to design the software for a digital phone. Yes, its small and battery life is good. But the software is incredibly difficult to learn and...

Pros: Small, light Cons: Possibly more breakable than other phones, bad luck with my phone!
After about a year of having no phone line of my own and only a pager for people to get a hold of me, I finally decided to buy a cellular phone. I was hesitant to get the StarTac at first because of the cost and the contract, but after having a crystal...

Pros: small and light, cute, tough as nails. dont have to baby this one, todays prices. Cons: battery efficiency, no silent ring, exposed antenna tip, lack of colors to choose from.
I got this phone when it first came out and was the coolest phone on the block at the time. I paid several hundred dollars new. OK the good first, First off is the size, a very small and flat phone that can fit just about anywhere, It would fit comfor ...

Pros: Thin, clear sounds, and feature-full! Cons: Battery is sometimes unreliable
"What do you mean I can leave it in my pocket during dinner-what's the point?", is probably the most asked question StarTAC sales representatives hear when describing the features of the 7760. No doubt they lose many customers who feel the...

The Motorola StarTAC 7760 offers the user a great deal of capabilities. The feature that I like the most is the lightweight and small size of the cellular phone. This is ideal of transportation purposes, and carrying purposes. I was amazed when I first...

Pros: Small & Lightweight Cons: Bad reception, not user friendly
I just got the new Star Tac for work and I don't think I like it much.
First of all, the phone is Way expensive. It has come down in the last few months but it still remains a bit out of reach for most people. The reception I have found in both...

I've had cellular phones since 1989 and this phone is what cellular always promised to be- reliable as a hammer and small as a pager!
I struggled through the early years with 2 pound analog phones that were unreliable and too big to carry....

Pros: Small, foldable, pleasant aesthetics, easily used Cons: Aerial can break off, messaging and phonebook poorly implemented, range problems
The Motorola StarTac model that I picked up is a nifty little machine, but a number of problems, specifically with messaging and fragility have raised some major concerns with me. The first thing one notices about this phone is its size - it's real...

Pros: compact, reliable, a lot of features and options, relatively cheap. Cons: short talk and standby times, only one type of ringer.
The Motorolla Startac 7760 is quite an amazing phone. It is very compact and small in size and very conveniently fits into ones pocket. It with-holds a variety of features such as caller id, call waiting Voice mail etc. It is very surprising for a phone...

Pros: Small, light, and easy to hide Cons: Hight price of phone and accessories
I used to work as the telecommunications manager for a 1600 person organization, so our Bell Atlantic sales rep would use us for a test bed. One of the perks was a StarTac of my own.
One of the first things most people notice is its size....

Pros: Size, excellent audio clarity, accessory compatibilty with other StarTAC products, good battery performance. Cons: Antenna can get snagged on clothing.
Being a "die-hard" Motorola user for the past few years (after using NEC, Nokia, Oki and Mitsubishi while doing Cellular Sales), making the progression from a DPC550 "flip phone" (5yrs ago) to a StarTAC 6000e (3yrs ago) and now to the StarTAC ST7760,...
