Pros: Nice Feature, light Cons: Price
Im a fan of cell phones and I think that the way technology is going these days hardly anyone will be without one in the future. The benefits of having a cell phone can range from emergencies and just for convenience. Just about any one of any age can ...

This is a nice little phone that doesn't have all the bells and wistles, but has enough to be quite ...

Pros: INDESTRUCTABLE!! Great signal, lots of features. Cons: Cannot see caller ID when the phone is closed.
Let me preface this review by stating that I have owned several different phones in my life, and have at one time or another owned most of the major brands. That being said, the Samsung SCH-8500 is the best phone that I have ever owned.

Pros: Light, strong functionality, good battery life Cons: Not too many actually
I bought my Samsung 8500 phone in a department store sale (they were ditching cell phones) and I had lusted after this phone for some time. I finally caved and paid my $100 or so dollars for the phone, I was told that with rebates and through some...

Pros: Slick, light, compact, long battery, display, reception, alert light, navigation, antenna, volume control, battery Cons: buttons,(slippery), Web, late voice mail, reception losses, needed replacement, Poor provider rates/service
Phon Cons:
I want to put the cons first because I had some trouble with my phone and had to have it replaced. Thank goodness it was only 9 months old and under warrenty. The phone acted fine for 6 months but then after, it would shut off on...

Pros: Durable; withstands "wear and tear." Lets you go online!! Cons: I want spiffy ringtones. :-(
Well, actually it's my pet. My computer is my baby.
I got my Sprint PCS Samsung SCH-8500 at Circuit City on a whim. I'd never had a cell phone before, and I decided I needed one right at that moment.
I took it home and...

Pros: Calendar, phone book, voice memo recorder, voice calling, checking voicemail. Cons: No good carrying cases or belt clips are available.
This phone is very versatile!! If you find yourself in need of a reliable cell phone that also reminds you of important appointments, then look no further. I have owned this phone for approximately two years now and it has come in useful for me on both...

Pros: Size, voice dialing capability, accessories Cons: Overheating, frequently dropped calls, battery life, lack of good airtime log.
The Samsung SCH-8500 arguably has one of the better form factors for personal cell phone use on-the-go. It's closed face design is good for those 'not-so-graceful' moments we may all have when the phone happens to inadvertantly jump out of our...

Pros: small, light, comfortable Cons: battery falls out easy, not loud
I purchased this phone over a year ago, and for the price, it was NOT worth it to me. I purchased the leather case with belt clip to go with the phone. Whenever I received a phone call and would go to remove the phone from my hip, the battery would...

Pros: Light weight, a lot of features, games Cons: design isn't much changed from the older model. No built-in antenna.
I currently have the older SCH-8500, and my sister has the newer one. I wanted to compare the two to see the difference. Looking at them from an aesthetic point of view I like the idea of the silver trimmings but when comparing it to the older model it...

Pros: Compact design, lightweight, many useful features Cons: Inefficient menu design, inadequate speaker volume
I purchased my Samsung SCH-8500 phone through RadioShack in October 2001. I am a long-time Sprint PCS customer and bought the phone to replace my aging Qualcomm QCP-2760. The RadioShack sales associate recommended the phone, calling it a "best seller."...

Pros: Great looking; extensive menu; voice dial Cons: Have to flip open to see time & incoming callers;
I started using this phone when my Samsung 3500 took a plunge into the deep beyond. I wasn't keen about changing, since I really loved the 3500, but I've been happy with the phone since I got it.
Although it takes FOREVER to program in the...

Pros: Relatively small and light with plenty of functions. Cons: Not very reliable service. Charger doesn't always work well.
I gave up my Nokia and AT&T service for the Samsung and Sprint and I have regretted it every day since. I'm not sure whether it is Samsung, Sprint, or both, but the service is not nearly as clear or reliable as my Nokia/AT&T combo. The sound is usually...

Pros: Lots of features, compact size, large display screen. Cons: Uncomfortable to hold for long periods of time, flimsy antenna.
After several years of carrying a pager and a larger cell phone, I decided it was time for something that would function as both, and was small enough to carry in my pocket. In my search, I came across the Samsung, which had just been available for a few...
