Pros: Small size, Clear display, Easy number storage Cons: Buttons hard to press, Ergonomics
I have had Sprint PCS for over four years and it was time to buy a new phone and this is the one that I chose. It is a nice small phone, but not so small that you can barely talk into it (besides when they get too small, the reception gets bad). I also...

Pros: Excellent Quality Phone
Lots of Useful Functions Cons: A little pricy (but well worth it)
This phone is well worth the money. It is extremely durable, high quality, and almost unnoticable in your pocket.
I have read some reviews in which people have been complaining about having for wait for certain functions to come up on the phone,...

Pros: Small, Bright Display, Easy to Use, Cons: Heavy, No Holster available yet
I bought this phone because I wanted a change from my Nokia 6185. It has similar features, except for all those ring tones available with the Nokia. The phone is very easy to use like the Nokia, it is much easier than the Startac. However, the phone is...

The Samsung Sch-8500 is the perfect phone for all needs. I just recently purchased it in the silver color and its a sweet phone. This phone weighs about 16 ounces and is very light. The options on the phone are unlimited, ranging from accessing the...

Pros: clarity, size, weight, style Cons: battery life
My friends and I cannot believe how clear the sound is! This is another example of good things that come in small packages. I love the fold-up as it keeps the phone from getting dirty. Very easy to learn its functions and use while driving. The voice...

Pros: Great reception, calendar, easy to use Cons: Vibrate mode not very strong
I recently signed up for sprint pcs. The phone decided on was the SCH-8500. This is an incredible phone. The first thing that attracted me to it was its reception ability. My friend had one and always had better reception than my older phone had....

Pros: small, light, comfortable Cons: battery falls out easy, not loud
I purchased this phone over a year ago, and for the price, it was NOT worth it to me. I purchased the leather case with belt clip to go with the phone. Whenever I received a phone call and would go to remove the phone from my hip, the battery would...

Pros: Great Phone, Small, Good Sound Cons: Weak Signal Often, and Analog Charges
The Samsung SCH-8500 is great. I really like the fact that it flips and is very compact. It has many options on it that i do not ever use and would not ever need to use. It has a calender that stores events, caller id, call waiting, web browser, lock...

Pros: Clear Sound, Good Looks, Numerous useful features not found in most phones Cons: Not the loudest ring, Lack of included plastic holster
I got this phone, activated on the Canadian Telus/Clearnet service, 2 months ago. So far, I'm very impressed.
First, my old phone was the Motorola StarTac 7790, so I was a big fan of flip phones before I ever held the 8500. This phone is a...

Pros: Great PIM features, and voice-dialing! Cons: Security options not that great
I purchased this one after having a Samsung 1500. (That was a joke!). I initially just wanted a phone for emergency purposes, until I saw this one in the display. I went crazy. My budget went right out the door!
The key thing that got me...

Pros: Phone has more features than most on the market, good price for the quality Cons: hard to find a good leather case
First of all, this phone is probably one of the best phones around right now and this certain person,THING85, doesn't know a great piece of technology when he actually has it in his hand. This writer starts off to say that the 8500 has to many buttons...

AND ON THE 8TH DAY, GOD CREATED THE SCH-8500
by corytee ,Jul 12 '07
Pros: Light enough to carry in pocket, yet heavy enough to deliver crushing blow to skull Cons: None
This phone has stood the test of time. For 8 years, this piece of modern technology has kept me connected with the world via voice and net. Not once have I had to change the battery or have to have it serviced. As my family and friends have casually changed phones over the many years, my Samsung SCH-8500 and I have withstood the unforgiving, ominous onslaught of cell phone carnage: powerless batteries, weak signals, high altitude impacts, thievery, floods, small children, famine, disease, absent-mindedness etc. Where these evil minions would send others scurrying to the nearest cell phone store to "casually up-grade", my SCH-8500 and I bellowed in laughter. And in darkness, the green glow of the back light provides a beacon of hope to all of those in despair. Like the pillars of time the SCH-8500 will last longer than you will. And when you are on your death bed, rest assured, the Samsung SCH-8500 will be there so you can call and make your funeral arrangements.
