Pros: picture quality, channel selections, music channels, pay per view options, sports packages,
Cons: installation, loss of local channels.
When my wife and I first moved into our house, we naturally assume that we would use the cable system provided by our local carrier. When we looked into the price and how many channels we actually received, we decided to see what satelite TV could...

Pros: So much to choose from, get great picture and sound.
Cons: bad weather can block out the signal
We got the Hughes directv satellite dish and receiver because I got sick and tired of our cable company (Mediacom) always jacking up the price and giving us stupid channels that I don't think anyone would watch. I went to the yellow pages in our local...

Pros: The best TV money can buy.
Cons: If you don't go with the best package, you may as well stay with cable.
I've had my Hughes Direct TV system now for about two years. I purchased it off ubid.com for $9 + $30 shipping, I know, great deal.

Anyway, I installed it myself, as I'm pretty handy and have been in TV bliss ever since. Let me explain why.......

Pros: Low Cost, Tons of Channels
Cons: Hard to get support, two TVs costs extra.
If you're debating whether to get a sattelite or not, debate no longer.

I couldn't see myself spending more for TV than I was. I was up to $52 a month, and just after I cancelled cable it would have gone to $55. This was without any premium...

The REAL deal on this DTV stuff!

by fargus , Apr 21 '01
Pros: More channels for less money
Cons: a storm can disrupt the signal
Okay, here's the real deal. The dish is good, but at $129, you're getting robbed. Sure, you could go to any electronics shop and pick it up for that price. I'm not an affiliate for Blockbuster Video at all, but the honest truth is, you can get a...

This system is top rated

by raymond689 , Dec 19 '99
Pros: This is a very reliable system in every aspect
Cons: there are no "cons" with this system
I am a professional installer and this system will please even the picky of satellite consumers. The Hughes SYS-D2532 (also known as a gold dual system) has even more features than it's counterparts D-1131 and D-1132 for more options in your home theater...
