Pros: Access to channels unlimited Cons: need antennae for local stations
This specific DSS system was a very practical purchase in my opinion. I have access to many more channels than I ever would with cable. I am a football fanatic so i am able to order NFL Sunday Ticket and see every game across the the Nation on every...

Pros: you can watch movies easy and cheap Cons: have to purchase home stations
This is a great product for someone that wants a satellite dish. You can order movies over the tv and it gets billed to your phone bill. For the people that do not get pay per view where they live it is finally accesible to you. That was my problem...

Pros: selection, quality, price Cons: sports package could be better
I have had my satellite for 5 years and will never go back to cable. The greatest thing about DirecTV is the selection. I am currently using the Select Choice package which includes three ESPN channels, USA, TNT, History Channel, ZDTV (very cool), 3...

Pros: picture, sound Cons: remote
I purchased this system because I live in a rural community with no Cable or antenna reception. Let me tell you that I am glad that I did. The quality of the picture is second to none and the sound is perfect. If there is anyone out there who is...

Pros: excellent quality Cons: see above
Your really can't go wrong with a DSS dish. You can easily pick one up for $100 or less. And the service costs only $20 for basic. You get superb quality, that of DVD's, for probably less than you pay for basic cable, which has lousy quality...

Pros: Great Picture, Sound, On Screen Programming Guides Cons: No National Networks, Multiple Room Viewing
If you are going to buy a DSS System why not go with the best? Is there really any brand name better in electronics than RCA? I don't think so, and they stay true to their record with their DSS System. It has a great picture with great sound. You can...

Pros: Big varity Cons: paying for each reciever
I have had it for only one week but love it easy to setup all day tickets are great instead of one viewing of a movie and all the different programs packages is great. With all the channels and paid viewing you never miss a program and for the kids you...

Pros: Easy-to-use, yet powerful interface Cons: remote control is shaped oddly
This is DEFINITELY the best DSS system on the market. If you are looking for a DSS system, look no further!
The RCA 2122 4th generation DSS sytem is great! I opened the box, and in no time I had my dss system up and running. It took my no...

Pros: great channels, more sports Cons: installation hassles, somewhat pricey
Directv vs cable is not even close at all. First of all, where I live the cable bill is a joke, the bill is priced like you ordered 50 different movies when in fact you only have regular cable and a few extra channels (ie HBO and a few extra sports...

Pros: Price, reception, selection Cons: none
10: Setup is simple, easy to follow instructions on how to set up the dish and align it for best reception. This is truely plug and play!
9: Help is just a phonecall away, for people (like myself) who get confused screwing in a lightbulb their...

Pros: Fantastic picture, hundreds of channels, great add-on channel packages Cons: They are consolidating their pricing packages upwards. Say goodbye to $35 a month!
I like this system a lot. No technical problem and they only time I lose reception is when a very strong storm-front first comes through (about six times a year in the midwest). Even then it only lasts about five minutes. Granted it could be the last...

Pros: Great customer service, very good picture and sound quality. Cons: Picture freezes in some weather conditions
When our Dish Network system failed after only a year we decided to give DirecTV a try and we have not been sorry. The price was reasonable - free after rebate with a one year contract, installation was included and, 8 months later, we've had no problems ...

Pros: Clear picture, lots of movies to purchase Cons: Sometimes lose picture when it rains
I have had a Direct TV system for a little over a year. I was very unhappy with my cable service.
One plus is that the picture is clearer than it ever was with cable. One minus is that when there is a thunderstorm, which can be...

Pros: browse channels without changing the channel you're currently viewing. Cons: the grey background for the info screen needs to be changeable... hard to read the info text otherwise.
Suffice to say, satellite TV gives you more for less. That is, I have yet found a cable company that give you as much selection and variety for the same amount of money. Most of the time, it seems to me that satellite gives you more channels for less...

Pros: great picture Cons: not as easy to install as led to believe, rain=no signal=no picture
I decided when we bought our home 2 years ago that we needed to go with DirecTV instead of cable because at that time, it was cheaper than cable, and the digital quality of picture was far superior to antennae or analog cable. So we went to our local...
