Nomad 2 MG RULES!!!

by rekakee , Aug 21 '00
Pros: Excellent features and sound quality
Cons: Umm.... The radio doesn't have perfect reception.
Why I purchased the Nomad II MG:
I bought a Nomad II about 3 months ago and when I noticed the MG was coming out soon I decided to take a look at the features. I loved the EAX Timescaling and the radio recording capabilities. I immediately...

Not Up To Par

by Maverick1004 , Jul 10 '00
Pros: Portability
Cons: Average Sound Quality
At first thought, I didn't want to purchase an MP3 player, considering that the cost was relatively the same as an MD player. However, after hearing about a really good price for this MP3 player, "what the heck", I decided, and I...

Bad as Hell!

by cheapo , Sep 29 '00
Pros: Software=Good
Cons: Design=Only O.K.
Creative Labs Nomad II MG is an all-around top-notch MP3 player. Seemingly the exact opposite of Sony's Network Walkman NW-E3 (see my scathing indictment) this player is iffy on the hardware side but close to perfect in terms of software.

The...

Some people hate mp3 players...they will love this one

by nxs4ever , Nov 14 '00
Pros: Great features with a stylish look, runs 8 hours on one single AA battery! Great software too.
Cons: Limited memory like all Mp3 players, no AM tuner, not fast but mediocre xfer speed from USB.
Creative Labs, known better for its speakers, video cards, audio cards and other multimedia computer components created an awesome dynasty line of mp3 players from the original Nomad to the Jukebox which can store 5 gigs of songs. Some wonder why people...

This thing royally rocks the house. Buy one now! Screw the rent.

by bcappel , Jan 19 '01
Pros: Small, Funky, Delicious.
Cons: Random play? What?
I bought my Creative Labs Nomad II MP3 player when they first hit the shelves way back in March/2000. I think I paid about $350 for it. Boy was that a good buy.

This think rocks the house. Don't even try to compare it to a Rio or a Yepp or...

A contender with a few issues

by frogfrog , Dec 21 '01
Pros: Solid performance with good features at an attractive price
Cons: Poor headphones, merely functional software, cumbersome tuning, no AM Radio
I just purchased the Nomad II a few days ago and I am pleased, almost perfectly pleased with its performance. I evaluated several competing products and I was impressed with the level of features not to mention the price. The standout features include,...

Discovery

by hsilver153 , Jan 07 '01
Pros: Portability,great sound,extra features,easy to use.
Cons: Headphones could be more comfortable
What did I know about MP3 Players? The concept of literally opening up the music world with access to virtually any type of music was and still is exciting.I took this experience one step at a time. First how would I access MP3 music files? Then once I...

Many features, good performance

by ronako , Jun 11 '01
Pros: Many features for a MP3 player, small, and only uses 1 AA battery.
Cons: Misleading for firmware support, no internal memory, does not support 128 mb Smartmedia cards yet
Introduction:
The Creative Labs Nomad II is my first MP3 player that I have ever bought. I have done extensive resarch on MP3 players and the bottom line is that everything comes down to price and features. My budget for a MP3 player was...

MG stands for Major Gaffes

by ReviewerScott , Oct 26 '00
Pros: Plays louder than Nomad II, better FM reception.
Cons: No belt clip or useful case, dumb button design, sadistic headphones
I had a Nomad II 64 which I liked very much but broke. Assuming the MG, which costs about $80 bucks would be better, I purchased it as a replacement. Unfortunately, the MG is much more poorly designed, seems more fragile, and is less functional.

Small and Loud

by seether166 , Jun 21 '00
Pros: Small, good sound
Cons: Clip isn't very secure
I just purchased the Creative Labs Nomad II and I must say I am very impressed with it. First, it comes with a lot of great things. A nice set of headphones, good installation CD’s, 1 AA battery, and the USB cable, and decent (not great) software for...

by Alaketalat , Dec 08 '00
Pros: It's just the best out there
Cons: Out of Stock in most dealers
Whenever I plan on buying anything from games to toys to electronics, I always search for the best! It took me a couple of days researching for a good mp3 player and at last, I found it! Just by looks alone, you will know that Nomad II mg is worth the...

I'm Just Glad I Got Mine for Free

by skadar , Aug 02 '00
Pros: Small Size, Great Looks, Great Sound Quality, Nice Features
Cons: No Downloading to Your PC, Flaky Manager Software
The Nomad II is my second MP3 player. The first being a 96MB eGo from MyAudio2Go.com. I've reviewed the eGo in another epinion, and even after owning it for many months, I still think it's one of the premiere MP3 players available.

I was...

MP3 Player - As Good As It Gets

by neomoose , May 29 '00
Pros: Everything but storage
Cons: Storage only 32 megs
The Nomad II is definitely on top of the MP3 portable player world. It has the most features and is the only one I know of so far that can play MP3's tagged with the ID3v2 format. It is the only MP3 player that is compatible with every single major MP3...

Pros: FM tuner and voice recording. Great sound and looks too
Cons: Carry the cradle.
The Creative Labs Nomad II MG mp3 player is the most amazing product I have bought in a long time. I am surprised I like this unit as much as I do, but I did my home work and it’s featured matched my needs perfectly. My mama always told me, if it’s...
