    Pros: Easy to manage, very fast, transaction handling, distributed databases, query compiler
    Cons: Ingres is the first database most people would think about.

    Summary: We looked at various database offerings for Linux and we settled on Advantage Ingres. It is a easy to set up and needs very little management.

    Pros: Load up, turn on, walk away. License base is growing rapidly.
    Cons: It's not well marketed and people think its dead.

    Summary: Forget oracle. Sure it's popular and nobody ever got fired for buying it, but COME ON?! oracle's a bloated pig, it takes ages to set up and its a pain in the a-- to manage. It ain't cheap either! Ingres is by far the best industrial strength RDBMS to
