| OnePerson's Full Review: Pervasive.SQL 2000 |
I work for a software development firm, and our software uses Pervasive SQL.2000 as one of its databases. It is fairly stable and can handle quite a bit of traffic. At the price level, it is probably perfect for businesses who do a moderate amount of business. It is not quite as sturdy as Microsoft SQL and the tables are more difficult to manipulate. You also need to do regular file maintenance to prevent the files from becoming corrupt. It is a huge improvement over Pervasive's last database, Btrieve. If your business can't afford Microsoft SQL, go for the next best thing, Pervasive SQL.2000.
This is my opinion.
