I will preface this review up front: I use this machine as a desktop and not as a server. We actually use Toshiba Servers almost exclusively, so I had the chance to test-drive this as my personal desktop.

The model that I got in had 2 (yes, two!) P3/700 processors, 512MB of memory, and an 18GB SCSI-2 drive. The machine simply screams!

It came with no OS installed, but with support readily available for NT and 2000 both, I dropped my trusty Win2K server CD in and watched it happily boot off the CD and install easily in almost no time. The hardware was detected (except for the video card--which had drivers enclosed) without a hitch.

After using it as a normal desktop for about a month, I dropped a high powered video card into it (Elsa Erazor X), to see how well it does at other things. It handled games (most notably Half-Life) flawlessly. It also handled doing some Photoshop and Autocad great.....

With these models dropping in price due to new models coming out (the 510D is out now with faster processors!), I'd highly recommend picking one of these up. It'd be a great home machine or a server for a small network!
