Whiskey is a love hate thing, and definately an acquired taste. Whether you are a novie or an expert when it come to spirits, Tullamore Dew is a whiskey you will nopt regret buying. For just slightly more money per bottle then bargain basement whiskeys, you can purchase a quality drink.
This whiskey should be consumed over the rocks with no mixers. It is very smooth and subtle, and teh flavor will get lost if you mix it with soda water or other mixers.
In comparison to other brands, it is much smoother than Jameson's, without the after taste. i would even go so far as to say it is smoother than Jameson's 1879.
The only possible drawback is that it is not as strong flavor wise as other whiskeys, but for a straight drink over teh rocks, it scannot be beat. use the cheap stuff to mix with your coke.
