It's all about networking by beerfly | Apr 16 '00 Finding rare and exquisite beers is like finding a job. It's often more important to know someone than it is to know something. People will lead you to the best beers around if you ask. It also never hurts to prime the pump; share your beer...Return to opinion

Samples... are a GOOD thing! I get them as a reviewer, and I have to say, some companies are a lot less stingy than others.

about working in a bar is the samples. Whenever we would get new samples of beers and liquors in the bartenders would be requested to sample so that if a customer asked us for a taste recommendation we would be able to give one. The other samples would usually be brought out on a Friday night during "Happy Hour" when the regulars were there so they could taste test also.
We ran across so very interesting beverages that way. LOL
