GOOD LUCK TRYING TO CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION
by jjjerryh ,Feb 27 '06
Pros: Informative
Cons: Worthless customer service -- especially if you need to cancel.
Beware of the 30 day trial membership. Good luck trying to cancel. There is no option in their menu, and after 3 days, they still have not responded to my inquiries.

Performance-wise, Fidelity has been better.

Unprofessional and exaggerated stock opinions, racist trash talks
by foreversoldier ,Aug 05 '09
Pros: Good for pass time.
Cons: Too much racial hatred from the publisher.
The editor of this site gives many unprofessional and exaggerated stock opinions to catch people eyes. I am disappointed at many racist remarks published on this site primarily targeted towards Chinese. The site feels more like a tabloid news paper than anything else. Not worth the subscription fee.

Motley Fool Stock Advisor
by rileydoon ,Jun 12 '07
Pros: Never had opportunity to adequately evaluate.
Cons: Never fulfilled offer and no communication - felt like bait and switch.
I signed up for Stock Advisor and was willing to pay the higher fee - everything looked good - they had been sending me emails about it and I had been aware of it for years.

However, the materials they offered to attract new members never arrived - several books and booklets, the titles of which had caught my attention.

Despite multiple email attempts, I was never able to get the materials, or indeed an actual email response responding to my concerns. The communication and customer service in reconciling this issue wasn't just awful, it was nonexistent.

They basically never fulfilled their offer and it felt like a bait and switch - very irritating.

I did ask for my money back, which they did give back promptly - apparently there is a mechanism in place for that.

Motley Fool Stock Advisor

Pros: -none.  find a more honest site for your investing advice
Cons: -poor customer service
Overall a negative experience.  Don't be a fool and don't join.

Subscription is very difficult to cancel.  If you call them, you are put on hold for about a minute, then disconnected and asked to call back at a later time.  There is no link or instructions on how to cancel the subscription on the website.  Once they have your credit card, it will automatically charge $150 per year.  They have many ways to get your money and constantly send you must-have reports that cost extra (usually $100+).  Don't miss the next big thing...etc.
