Pros: Free. Charts look great. Lots of indicators. P&F Charts. Cons: Can be slow to access at times. No real-time charts.
StockCharts has a terrific collection of tools for charting US stocks and mutual funds. Frankly, I think their charts are the best available anywhere, paid or not. They certainly look gorgeous and the price is right - free! Here's a run down of the...
Pros: Free, no reg required, nice Java applets Cons: Stock charting won't make you money
Stock market technicians will have a ball with StockCharts.com. It's totally free and they don't even make you register, so you don't wind up on yet another spam list.
The site lets you enter a ticker symbol and uses Java to generate an...
Pros: Best selection of charting tools on the net. Cons: Still a few bugs in the delayed intraday data, but getting better.
Stockcharts.com is by far the best charting site on the web. They offer the widest range in both style of charts, time periods, and technical indicators. The newest indicator, price-volume, is not available anywhere else on the web that I have found. The...
Pros: provides a complete chart analysis system Cons: the site offers more than most people will take advantage of.
The "Stock Charts" site offers as complete a technical analysis (in various formats) as even a "sophisticated" investor can take advantage of. I have used charts since 1963 and find charts to be of great value. The availability of different chart styles...
Pros: Great service that pretty much has it all. Quick response to questions and suggestions. Cons: I miss Rhode's & McCormick's commentary and analysis.
Great charting site for all but the most sophisticated investors. Charts contain most traditional indicators.
They recently stopped offering analysts (Hill, Rhodes, McCormick, etc.) commentary which I found very helpful. I hope they can stay...
GREAT charting platform, BUT problems with accuracy at times. No way to correct erroneous price spikes without going thru customer service, and they usually take 24 hours to respond. This really messes up the indicators on the shorter time frames. Service seems to go down a lot more than normal or acceptable, and they make no effort to either notify subs of the progress of getting back online, or compensate for these down times. Today, the charts won't update. Things like that, yet somehow, I just can't live without stockcharts. Best alternative I've found is Quotetracker, but best for intraday traders.....
