The GetSmart Visa Credit Card was a smart choice for me because of some past credit problems I've had. I'm not proud of some of my past bad decisions, but it was a good way for me to get back into the credit game!
Pros: None Cons: Surprise APR hikes, no reward for good management, fees for line increases
If you are considering the Getsmart Visa card, then I have a special message for you. "Do not get this card!" I repeat, "Do NOT get this card!" Instead, I strongly advise you to hold onto your wallet and look elsewhere.
Pros: credit for (almost) everyone, ultra fast online billpayment Cons: high rates..telemarketer calls, this card is only if you need/build credit.
you can imagine that it's hard to get credit if you're new to the country...you get your social-security...you are becoming a resident..but what you want is CREDIT !

Ok. Maybe the fees aren’t that bad. However, you have an $89 processing fee and an $89 annual fee. Combined with 23.99% interest, this can be trouble. I was with this card back when it was still called Aria. I wanted a card so I could make purchases...
