My experience with quicken home loans was very positive.  The process occured faster than I thought it would, quicken staff returned my e-mails/phone calls promptly and I was able to refinance at a competitive rate.

Pros: Competitive 30 year fixed rate with low point
Knowledgeable staff
Quick and easy closing process
Cons: Don't offer automatic withdrawal for mortgage payment from the start

I recently refinance my 30 year fixed mortgage with Quicken Loans.com and had a great experience.  Everyone that I worked with was knowledgeabl, friendly, professional and responsive.  The whole process took a little over a month and, except for the closing, was done over the phone.  Someone came to our home for the closing, which took about a half hour.  I would highly recommend Quikenloans.com if your shopping around for a new mortgage or a refinance.  I called four different companies to compare rates and they had the best rate at the time. 

Pros: Clear expectations about turnaround time and follow through. Would recommend them without hesitation.
Cons: There's something comforting about having a place of business close rather than miles away.

My husband and I had been watching the mortgage rates for about a year before we decided it was getting close to the right time to refinance our 4.5 year old mortgage.  However, we work in different towns with different schedules, and have very over scheduled lives.  Going to visit someone at a bank or storefront business wasn't really an option, but trusting someone online was new and concerning to us.  We decided to use an internet "shopping" service that put the message out to four different companies.  We were pleasantly surprised with Quicken's response speed and follow up.  They were also respectful to wait for approximately six weeks while we finished out our upstairs room before going forward with the re-fi work.  While we were uncomfortable working with someone out of town, we came to be as comfortable as could be reasonably expected due to Quicken's interactions and professionalism.  I would recommend them to others, and would even encourage others to consider doing business over the internet because of our experience with Quicken.

Pros: Professional in every sense.
Cons: Agent showed up an hour and a half late to sign closing papers.

I discovered Quicken Loans through an advertisement on the internet. It was actually one of those advertisements that said you could get up to five agencies to bid on refinancing a loan. After giving them the information on my present loan, Quicken Loans called within five minutes of giving the information. I was quite surprised they responded so quickly. There was absolutely no pressure put on me to go with them. They asked several questions to see if refinancing was my best option. After answering the questions they informed me that they could help. And the process began the next day after my wife and I talked about it. Within four weeks we had the refinancing, closing, and cash back. We have only great things to say about this company.

Pros: Great people who are willing to help at any time of the week.
Cons: Having to fax a lot of papers.

My experience with QuickenLoans could not have been better. I was a bit scared buying my first home but the great people at Quicken Loans helped me through every step. I ran across some problems on my end that took some time to clear up but everyone was more than glad to help. I have recommended Quicken Loans to everyone I know and I will use Quicken Loans next time I need a Loan.

Pros: The loan Percentage was great.The loan closing with coming to the house was great
Cons: Everyday asking for more info.The management NOT responding to emails or phone call returns.

We worked with Quickens Loan and Tom was excellent to work with on this issue. Tom was very knowledgeable and was a great person to work with. Every day asking for more and more info became very frustrating. I had suggested them changing their name to slow loans, because it took almost two months from start to finish. I feel that Quicken loans need to empower the sales person (Tom) to make decisions and not have to get back with you when he has to go to his manager to see how to correctly handle the situation. The biggest problem was checking the different cost that was told to you and then changing the price at the end of closing, ie well your credit rating was not as good as they said it was, or we have to charge you more because your credit score was lower. I was told at the beginning that my score was GOOD and then they needed more money and the excuse was my score was not what it should have been. Please be careful and get emails for your questions or concerns every time you speak to them.

Pros: Fast, easy, accurate, cordial
Cons: Quicken transferred our loan to Countrywide...Yuck.

I contacted Quicken Loans on a Wednesday afternoon while surfing the internet for refinance information.  By the following Saturday (10 days), we were closing on our refinance.  Quicken did not charge us for services we did not need (e.g., a full appraisal).  The process was totally on-line, fast and easy.  Our representative, Sam, was fabulous!  He promptly answered all the questions we had and was a joy to work with.  The paperwork arrived neatly packaged for future reference and closing.  The title company representative came to our home at our convenience.

Pros: Courteous, gracious, professional, knowleable.
Cons: None. Seriously....none.

All I can say is that Seth Gray is THE best mortgage person that I have ever dealt with. He is enthusiastic, knowlegeable and genuinely seems to care if the deal is right for you.

I honestly felt very comfortable that I could trust him. In the current financial situation, that is not easily accomplished.

Pros: Convient process, all done on phone with 2 trips to my office for signing docs.
Cons: Quicken Loan Portion of Closing cost (Origination/ApplicationUnderwritting) were $755 higher than Good Faith Estimate. 

I found there loan process very easy and quick.  But I would not recomend them as my final charges for their fees were $755 higher than the good faith estimate I received.  The original estimate did make them the best package at the time I started the process.  I understand that other portions of the settlement costs can increase out of their control.  I am only refering to fees paid to Quicken Loan.  

Pros: Home closing was great.
Docs on line was great.
Start to finish timeframe was great.
Cons: I felt pressured by Quicken Loans; the rep even had answers for questions about competitors.

You know the old saying if it looks too good to be true, it usually is.  Well, my first encounter with Kelly at Quicken Loans looked too good to be true.  Kelly had immediate access to all my financial information, including my credit report.  Such access made it very easy for Kelly to describe available products to me, she was able to run through all requirements, and she accurately projected a closing timeframe, that again seemed unlikely, but it happened!  Having the documents on line for me to review and sign off on was also very effective.  Overall, my experience with Quicken Loans was exceptional.

Pros: Very professional, easy to follow instructions via e-mail and website.
Cons: Brief confusion about closing date due to multiple hand-offs within Quickenloans.

Great experience overall. The process was very transparent via updated web site and progress bar. Timely e-mail reminders help keeping track. Fairly low closing costs and a great mortgage interest rate. Good follow-up on additional documents needed upon the initial review. Easy submission of documents via multiple options: mail/fax/e-mail PDF, thus good use of existing technology.

Pros: Constant communication from Quicken team who would reroute my emails if sent to wrong party.
Cons: Lost track of who called and why. Never sure who to email and such.

Overall the experience I had with Quicken was good. I had searched the internet looking for the lowest rate and found Quicken. I filled out the online questionaire. Originally I was called by a Quicken loan officer who was (IMHO) not very aware of the customers level of understanding. I am reasonably well versed in financing and understand various scenarios. This first individual (not Guy) just tried telling me what I needed to finance and I did not like that. In the end (after a quick call he hung and I said fine). Later Guy called. I shared what I wanted to do, we talked through it and ultimately closed the loan.

Pros: Accruate, fast, open, priced well, friendly, concerned, adequate customer service, professional assistance 
Cons: assessment, some printed info confusing, second refi reules not clear until explained

This agency was professional, quick, accurate, and well priced.  The agent was friendly, helpful with good sound suggestions.  We purcahse4d the refi with Quicken due to low rate, accurate discussion, with no mystery, and the quality of the Quicken loan company.  It is certainly not on the list of those needing a bailout.  It is quick and fair. 

I did not like the fact that the assessment negated thousands of dollars of improvements due to teh extremely soft prices in the area. 

Pros: Great rate and locked in at the low point.
Cons: Quicken was great to work with and not charge extra fees

I was refinanncing my condo and got the best rate on Lending Tree with Quicken loans.  The agent monitored rates and locked me in the lowest point for a 30 year fixed.  I did have issues scheduling the closing due to turnover in personnel at Quicken, and having to resend information about the insurance.  However, once I was connected to Michael Cameron, everying thing was scheduled quickly and all issues around extra fees due to going past the orginal closing date set at the rate lock-in time were corrected.  Great to have a company that will work things out when there are any issues. 

Pros: informative, quick, nice helpful 
Cons: wasn't there to help me with my problem

The representative was great but I must have thrown away the earnest money check .  So when I thought I never received it I called and all I got was the run around.  Everyone I talked to wouldn't give me a straight answer.  I was made to feel like I was lying about the whole thing.  Then when they told me the check could be reissued it would cost me 30 dollars.  Well the check was for 349 orignally.  I wanted my money back.  However this time I asked to sign for the package so I wouldn't make that mistake again.  I had called my loan representative but he had been promoted and had no clue.  I don't think that is right that they promote a person and then they have no clue what is going on with their old client and can't help them.
