Pros: Using Quicken Loans was easy, took little time and was convenient. Cons: The upfront fee and no rate comparisons available on line, including terms.
I refinanced using Quicken Loans. It was easy with friendly folks on the phone who helped make it an easy process. I wish the information on loan rates and terms was more visible on-line like some other company's. That made me feel uneasy ...

Pros: Done over the internet/phone no driving. needed just 2 current pay stubs. Cons: No face to face interaction when there is a problem, frustrating when emails/calls go unanswered.
First I should give a little background we were looking to refinance our home, no money out just a refi. We have excellent credit 789, money in the bank, 401K's etc, and no debt other than the mortgage. We were really impressed ...

Pros: Quicken Loans' representatives are responsive, knowledgeable and want to provide the best support possible. Cons: I don't have anything negative to say about Quicken Loans.
Quicken Loans was one of the best consumer experiences I've ever had and I have to say I was a little skeptical at first. I was interested in refinancing my home and was doing some research online. I came across a link to Quicken Loans and ...

Pros: Excellent, ongoing communication with your brokers and various team members. Smooth, transparent loan processing. Cons: Dealing online with strangers. A fax machine is needed to expidite the loan process.
After an online search for rates and providers, a call to Quicken Loans put us on the road to a great refi rate with very low costs. Quicken Loans seems to have people who work as a team to make things happen and are in constant communication by phone ...

Pros: Ability to apply and process without taking time off work, including closing on a Saturday. Cons: Contacting me when my husband was the contact point and I had no information.
Quicken Loans gave us a great rate and processed everything efficiently. As a two-worker household, we are both too busy to take time off of work to meet with loan and bank officers. Being able to close on a Saturday was an added ...

Pros: good rate, affordable costs. Willing to go lower than other companies. Cons: Pushy. Inconsiderate.
Overall, the process of using Quicken loans was tedious and psuedo un-professional. The loan "specialist" I delt with was obviously working for the close, and not for me. After threatening to not use the product, they continued to reduce the ...

Pros: Rapid responses; excellent use of today's technologies. Super and responsive professionals! Cons: Couldn't find a billboard in Albuquerque for Quicken Loans.
We'd shopped around to find the best rates and, if possible, the least cumbersome refinancing process. Our existing mortgage holder chose not to respond to our online query. It was like we didn't exist. Our credit union referred us to a ...

Pros: Fast (2 weeks to finalize loan), most everything done over the computer. Cons: High pressure sales. Know your house appraisal and credit score BEFORE calling. Terrible after-closing communications.
[ Update: May 14, 09 After the closing, I had a question. I a tough time getting a hold of Brad (at Quicken). When he did respond via email, the information was just a few words. Although he promised the worlds of after the closing communications ...

Pros: Competitive 5% interest rate, docs easy online, People were courteous and friendly. Cons: Promises may prove shallow, the writing is what matters. Read and educate yourself before hand.
We recently closed on an FHA loan with Quicken and had good results. Yes, after closing we had our $400 credited back to our credit card - and we did get the interest rate we expected. As a comparison my credit union would have charged $75 ...

Pros: Reasonable follow-up; Returned all calls except 1. Cons: Misleading at best, unethical at worst when selling the idea of a re-appraisal.
I contacted Quicken Loans about a possible refinance of my home recently. I wanted to use my home's equity, and this was one of the reasons (along with wanting a shorter mortgage) I contacted them. They had reasonably favorable reviews on-line. My ...

Pros: Good interest rate Good response from Cory Oline access to documents Cons: Higher fees Bad appraisal poor communication other than Cory
We had refinanced with Quicken before, so we knew what to expect. However, it is different with Fannie May money. You have to have 30% equity and at least 720 on a credit score. Forget being self employed! This system unfortunately is not setup for those ...
