Plenty of Trouble

I have had plenty of trouble with E*Trade. I have given them a fair chance, but closed my account. I have had trouble logging on, trouble setting up alerts, trouble with inaccurate trades, trouble transferring stock to another broker, and trouble with IPOs. I can hardly think of any operation that functioned as it should have. And believe me: this is not operator error. Plenty of other sites have figured out how to offer these services without the same sort of problems. I just don't see how these guys can make any money this way.
With all the competition, save yourself some trouble and put your money someplace. You don't need the headaches. The 100 bucks or whatever they offer you to join is not worth it. And note that they get some of that back when you close your account. They charged me about $20 to close mine.
