This is a brand new site that I was lucky enough to get to promote this week here in the California Desert area. I advise everyone to go and take a look at the services that could be online from your local government. To stay on topic, I do mean filing your property taxes online, and even paying them !! This is just some of the services this site offers !!
Ezgov.com is based out of Atlanta, Georgia. It is the goal of this new company to work with as many states and local governments as they possibly can. The site is new, and not all states are included yet, but many are, so go check and see if your area is included. I would love to expand on the many other services this site offers the user, but I would be yelled at for being off topic. I will attempt to just stick with the aspect of paying your property taxes, even though many more services are offered which are real life savers for many people.
Riverside County, in Southern California, where I currently reside will be able to file and pay residents property taxes online with Ezgov.com, beginning March 15, 2000. I was shocked at how many real estate agents, and mortgage brokers here in the area knew nothing about this site. It is a good chance your local mortgage and real estate brokers don't know about this either, so after reviewing the site, don't forget to tell them !! If your state is not included yet, make sure to inform your local government about this site !
The site is well put together and easy to navigate. I had little or no problems going all over, and using the different services. There are many things there for California, Alabama, Michigan, and some other states. Now I don't have to hassle with long lines at City Hall, DMV, and other places. I am really enthusiastic about all of the services ! Our County Tax Assessor believes that there will be way less defaults on tax paying with this new service. The biggest downfall to users would have to be the wait, if your state or local government is not yet included on this site.
