What are we made of money?
Sep 27 '00
Banks must think we are made of money or something. I mean really, why would we be going to ATM machines to get money if we want to pay more than we are actually getting out? Now let me tell you, other banks should charge your bank if you want to take money from an ATM. Nevermind this $1.50 surcharge if it isn't your bank. That's not fair. I think that if they didn't do that they should have some kind of generic machine that will give you money without the surcharge no matter what bank you belong to. I guess I understand that the banks need to make money, but I think that the moneys hould come from somewhere else, like the bank you do business with, or the mall or supermarket where the ATM machines are located. Let me tell you that those $1.50 surcharges can add up very quickly. It is a convenience yes, because I hate trekking out of my way to go to the bank to use their ATM machine, so that I do not get charged an extra $1.50. Also if weren't such a bad thing then why would many states try to work to get these surcharges done away with? Thats MY opinion. NO MORE SURCHARGES!!
