...this is so cool !! If you are like me and have been thinking about the playing the market on your computer , but have been hesitant because you weren't really sure if you knew enough to try, this is your chance to learn. This site/game offers you the perfect opportunity to see if you know as much as you think you do , while at the same time offering you some online entertainment and a chance to win $$$.
Once you sign up, ( no charge ) they give you an imaginary account of $100,000.00 , with this account you can invest however you want, in whatever you want and the results of the actual stockmarket are used to track your portfolio. It's just like being an inevestor in the real stockmarket without the worries of losing real money !!
They then rank all the members portfolios and track your earnings ( or losses ) , if you happen to be one of the really good ones you can win $1000 ( first prize ) or asst other prizes for the top spots. I'll admit to you all right now that I am not going to be one of the top winners ( yesterday I was in 5,875th place...today I'm in 6,614 th place ) but that's ok...I'm learning alot ( this site offers lots of tips,hints and general information about investing and is alot of fun !!!! ) .
The game starts fresh every month, that is the 1st of every month a new game begins and all accounts are reset at $100,000 ,and the game ends at the end of the month ( obviously ) , so even if your accounts doing poorly and ,like me you, are at the bottom of the ranking list..it's ok because hopefully you learned a little something and can try all over again the next month.
The long and short of this is .......it's alot of fun...and will hopefully teach you something about investing....and you have nothing to lose ( except maybe a little pride if you think that you're really slick and end up at the bottom the list..ha ha )!!!!
