Charles Schwab rebates any ATM fees
Feb 21 '00
If you have a Schwab one ACCESS account, Charles Schwab will rebate any bank ATM fees that might be charged. This is a great service if you happen to travel a lot to different states or around the world.
This past summer I traveled extensively throughout Europe. I took money out only when I needed it. The bank ATM fees would have added up to a significant amount but because of my Schwab One Access account all the fees were rebated.
The Schwab One Access account is not a brokerage account, you cannot make any stock trades in it. It is simply a bank checking account that earns about 5% interest. You also have electronic bill payment with it.
The downside to the account is that you need $10,000 to open this type of account. You do not need to maintain it at that but if you do you avoid any fees. If you are a Schwab Platinum customer you do not have the minimum account requirements or any fees for life.
