Credit Cards With Lower interest?Jun 09 '00 Write an essay on this topic. If you decide to switch your credit card to a lower interest there a are some things you need to do. I, just last year, learned a very good lesson. If you have bills that are sent directly to a credit card and decide to change to a cheaper interest card, make sure you contact these people when you transfer. Have them place the automatic charges to your new charge card. If you don't, several months down the road, when you think this credit card is closed. You get a bill. Oh yes, you have done everything you were supposed to. You cut the card in half, you wrote cancel on the statement and you paid them off in full. You may even have a credit. Haha! Got you!. If you still haven't notified the people that bill automatically to the old credit card, the credit card can still bill you. Evidently it is NOT up to them to stop the payment. Just beware. I went through an eight month period of trying to straighten out this mess. I hope this will help any of you that decide to switch to a lower interest card. |
