| flashfriday's Full Review: Motley Fool |
I became Foolish in 1996 and have never looked back since. The term "Foolish" is actually a clever way of identifying those investors that buy and hold for the long term. Because some people consider buy-and-hold investors "foolish" the name was thus born.
Since I have now been a member of Motley Fool since 1996, I consider myself an expert on all the site has to offer. Believe me, this site has a lot to offer. When I first visited the site, I considered myself lost in the maze of investing and financial advice. Within a few weeks, the Motley Fool site took me step by step and made me feel confident and comfortable with my investment decisions.
I highly recommend that all new investors take the time to follow the 12 Steps to Foolish Investing offered by the site. I believe they will still send you a paperback version of the 12 step program for FREE. This book is invaluable and is highly recommended.
Another great feature of the site is the step-by-step tutorials offered for such things as retirement, buying a car, investing for college, buying a house...etc. Motley Fool is the only site that uses easy to understand terminology and walks you through the entire process.
Have a certain complex investing question that you can't seem to find the answer on? Post it on the Motley Fool message boards and I promise that one of the other Fools out there will be able to answer your question. Guaranteed. I can't tell you how many times fellow fools have come through for me.
Still not convinced that this site is great? The Motley Fool has the best and most useful portfolio tracker out there. You have the ability to track your stocks in so many ways that it is mind boggling. I really love the fact that it can track your stocks against the performance of the S&P. Can your portfolio tracker do that?
The last feature that I wanted to mention is the numerous stock strategies that the site follows. Whether you want an aggressive portfolio or a low-risk portfolio, the Motley Fool has you covered.
The bottom line is that the Motley Fool website is the BEST financial site out there. I challenge anyone to find a site that can match all of its features and advice. Get FOOLISH today!
