For the past two years, I have used Quicken Turbo Tax for the Web (www.turbotax.com) and I would highly recommend it. There is no software to install and update. The on-line program offers good tips on ways to reduce your tax liability and flags items that are most likely to cause an audit for being out of the average range for your income bracket.

The system allows you to designate a user name and password (of your choosing). Then, you sign in and the work through an easy step by step program to prepare your taxes. You do not have to complete your taxes in one setting it will save what you've done and you can go back and finish or update any information later.

The 1040EZ is free, and for any taxpayer with $20,000 or less in adjusted gross income. For all others, the price is $9.95. Better yet, you do not have to pay until you electronically file your return. Therefore, if you try it and do not like it, you do not have to pay. However, I would be very surprised if you do not like it. I would highly recommend this means of filing for most all but the most complicated returns.
