These scam artists should be arrested for stupidity

They seem to be everywhere, but people must be getting taken in or the scam would die. Glad to hear that nothing happened to you and others heard about this before it was too late.

Thanks for sharing =)

Wow - I had that exact same call from these people. Luckily, they only called once - I made it abundantly clear that I was sure they were frauds. (I'm also not on either of the VISA accounts in our home, yet they asked for *me* as an "authorized user". Glad to hear you didn't get suckered, either. I immediately put out an alert on all the email lists I'm on to let people know what was going on.

Great idea, and yet one more reason to get Caller ID and an answering machine or service.

Thanks,

I've developed a habit of only answering my telephone (thanks to my trusty caller i.d.) when it's someone that I know. I wish I had a dollar for every "unknown" call I receive on a daily basis. If it's important, they can leave a message.

Thanks for the warning and for sharing your story, great review!

It's not that hard to fall for, they have the right lingo and they're good at what they do. If the scam didn't work, they wouldn't still be at it.

Thanks for the nice comment,

Great advice here - I personally don't have any credit cards, only a Visa debit card, but if I had... I might have fallen for this trick. I'll remember this info for later reference!

Thanks for the nice compliment. =) If it helps just one person out there, it's worth it.
