My husband & I decided to buy a home of our own after one year of marriage. I went window shopping for a mortgage lender before we actually began looking for a realtor. Well, to my surprise, a local bank recommended Norwest. After researching rates & plans, etc- we decided to go with Norwest. Although initially, the lady working on my case QUIT in the middle of processing & I kinda got missed in the shuffle, the rest of the experience was very positive. The agent even worked with my realtor to coordinate closing right at the realtors office so that I didn't have to go out of town for closing. Not only that, but I was working on a limited time schedule as I didn't want to sign another lease with my landlord; they were able to hurry things along so that we could close soon enough to eliminate that problem. Since taking out our mortgage, Norwest representatives have called a few times just to see how things are going in my new home, to tell me about my Norwest Credit card that they qualified me for when they gave me the mortgage loan and the loan officer has sent thank you cards twice. Great friendly company that also happens to be very competitive in the market!
