We selected Countrywide Home Loans through the advice of our real estate agents. They highly recommended this company and gave us the name and telephone number of a loan officer we could contact.

The next day I called and spoke with the loan officer for approximately ten minutes while giving him the information he needed to start the loan application. I received a return call in approximately twenty minutes approving us for the loan at a fixed rate of 6.5%. Impressive!

I have only been using Countrywide for just over a year now and have had no real problems with the company. I am however constantly inundated with junk mail. They are practically begging us to accept homeowners disability insurance and life insurance from their company. The phone calls are less frequent yet equally annoying. I have been a homeowner for almost ten years now and with the rate at which mortgage companies sell policies I have probably held an account with at least seven or eight companies now and I have never received junk mail and calls to any comparison at which I do from Countrywide.

Countrywide does offer a wonderful service allowing you to view and pay your bill online. It is also possible to research other available insurance and loan information through their website. You can also apply for a mortgage loan, refinance your existing loan or apply for a home equity loan on the internet.
