| The explosively popular 2600 (Also known as the Atari VCS - Video Computer System) sold many units and was the console of choice for much of the late 70's and early 80's. Atari programmers who were frustrated with not receiving credit anywhere in the game, split off, formed their own company and called it Activision (the first third party game maker). Adventure and Pac-Man were popular titles. |
