Pros: Tons of Games, Great System! Cons: Has Been Dead For a Long Time!
Summary: THE SUPER NINTENDO

Pros: Classic after classic, cheap, no accessories needed, nice design (for the most part) Cons: stupid eject button, graphics not up to todays, some buttons you never use
Summary: Intro The Super Nintendo Entertainment System is arguably the greatest game system of all time. Yep, that's right, better than the Xbox, better than the PS2, and better than the Gamecube. Why? Because three times as many classics were introduced on ... read more

Pros: Impressive graphics, stereo sound, good gameplay, long-lasting hardware. Cons: Needed to expand more upon the mario series.
Summary: Super Nintendo is, in my opinion, the best syetem ever available. I say it is the best of both worlds because it still has the same style games as the old NES games, yet with dramatically improved graphics and sound. I never really caught onto modern ... read more

Pros: great games, good gameplay, fun, entertaining Cons: the cartriges got dirty
Summary: Sure, I was only about six or so but the legacy lives on within my head. We owned snes and genisis. The genisis wasn't played much because my brothers and my hands couldn't hold the bulky controller well if you needed all 6 buttons. My favorite games ... read more

Cons: I can't think of one.
Summary:
The SNES (a.k.a. Super Nintendo, at least in my country) was the last system I owned during my gamer life (I am 19 now, and havent bought a video-game system in a very, very long time) and was truly one of the best systems I have ever ... read more

Pros: A vast library of excellent games, and a great controller. Cons: No games are released for this system anymore, and the multiplayer aspect is lacking.
Summary: As I previously mentioned in my review of the NES, Nintendo had an unfair advantage with its 8-bit monopoly. However, even though the 16-bit SEGA Genesis was beginning to become the most popular console because of its many third party-published games and ... read more

Pros: Great Classic Games, Low Priced Games and Accesories Cons: Not Great Graphics, High Price for Older System
Summary: The Super NES or SNES was one of the first systems I ever purchased. At that point in time it was the best system out there. IT even towered over the SEGA Genesis that was released after the system. The titles for this system were amazing for that ... read more

Pros: Great games and excellent hardware, but... Cons: That necessary save-feature doesn't last.
Summary: When it was first released, the Super Nintendo could hardly hold a candle to the popularity of the Sega Genesis, the system that pretty much won the 16-bit console wars. It was even a tad slow getting out the big games. Over time though, the Super ... read more

Pros: haven for quality licensed titles, impressive RPG roster Cons: not too many good shooters or games with 'speed'
Summary: Super NES was the perfect system when I picked it up in early '92. I was never a stout supporter of Nintendo's 8-bit 'Family Computer', but the present state of the new platform and immense potential for the future sold me. I went on to collect over 50 ... read more

Pros: Huge game library with great RPGs. Better reliability than "old" NES. Cons: Lackluster sports titles. Console turns a strange yellow after time.
Summary: In 1990 Nintendo made a release that changed the face of gaming. They released Super Famicom in Japan. Nintendo's first 16 bit system. Super Famicom was aimed directly at Sega's already two year old 16 bit Genesis. In August of 1991 Super Famicom was ... read more

Pros: Durable, affordable, huge game library. Easy to convert to play imports. Cons: Old, dated, kids might hate it.
Summary: When I first saw this unit, I was a teenager working at Toys R Us. "Super Nintendo..." I thought, "Why is it so super? It's just hype."
If I remember correctly, the starting price for a base unit with no Super Mario Land was about $110.00. ... read more
