Pros: Design own rollercoaster/manage money Cons: No multiplayer
As I first started playing the 20min demo, I got addicted. 20 minutes seemed like two. I decided to stop being so cheap, and I went out and bought the game. Although skepticts might argue that the game has no pint, you build get cash, build new...

Pros: Fun and addicting game, with many sounds and options Cons: merry-go-round gets a bit much (Music)
This is a game that is for people ages 8 and above. I have both Roller Coaster Tycoon and the expansion pack "Coaster follies" which makes the game even bigger with more rides and simulations.
Playing the game is quite simple, you are a CEO...

Pros: Having fun and building roller coasters Cons: when you run out of money and when your roller coaster dont work !
This fun, simulated, roller coaster park is a blast! Its great for the whole family to build your own parks, make money, make your own roller coasters and much much more! You even feel like your at an amusement park because the sound is so...

Pros: It is really a lot of fun for the whole family Cons: Josh never lets me play
When my 10-year old son asked me to get him this game, we had a 20-minute argument about the 50 other computer games that he already owns and never plays. He had heard about RollerCoaster Tycoon because it was on a book order form that was sent home...

Pros: great family game, wonderful graphics Cons: games only have one objective
As far as the games on my family's computer go this one is played most by all family members. I've even seen my husband sit down for hours with this game and not grow bored, if you knew my husband you would this this was impossible.
The game...

Pros: Entertaining, intuitive, easy to use. Cons: Graphics aren't great.
Summary: Like everybody else has said, this game is terribly addictive. I've sat down to play for just a couple of minutes before doing something else and completely forgotten what else I was going to do an hour later. If you like roller coasters,...

Pros: Fun, addictive, lots of control over small elements Cons: Addictive, sometimes slow to move to the next level
What?! Am I still playing this? I really need to get some sleep. The first time I saw one of the little people vomit after coming off a ride, I laughed so hard I almost hurt myself. Then, I discovered that you can see their thoughts. That's when I found...

Pros: Open ended, original and enjoyable Cons: Having to stop playing because it's 3am
What a rush, to have total control over the design and development of a whole amusement park. This game does score over games like 'Theme Park' (although always remember we would not have roller without it) purely because of its simplicity of use, yet...

Pros: getting to build you own Rollercoaster Cons: Learning the dynamics of the coasters takes time
I myself am one who loves to ride roller coasters and now I get to build ones of my own. This game is great. I recieved it for my birthday and have been addicted to it since then. You can build your own amusement park, with all different types of rides...

Pros: It has a tutorial so you get an idea of what you are getting yourself into; you get to build and name all the rides in your park, even rollercoasters; great way to spend a rainy afternoon; very addicting; fun to play with others Cons: difficult: one must be very strategically oriented to enjoy this game
I haven't played a game for a long time that is as addicting as Microprose's Rollercoaster Tycoon; and yet I am still itching to play more! I could stay up until the early hours of tomorrow morning before I pull myself away from the computer....

Pros: Create your own coasters, lots of ride/vending options, great responses from individual "characters" Cons: Not many...small "characters"
If you are into simulation games (i.e., SimCity, Transport Tycoon, Railroad Tycoon, etc.), this game is for you! I own most of the simulation games and this is one of my favorites.
I have spent many nights up until the wee hours of the...

Pros: Great graphics and sound. Cons: A little chopy on the options and controls
Roller Coaster Tycoon is an excellent game. It has its ups and downs (no pun intended) but it provides a lot of fun. I would recomend that the game be played by teenagers and up, because the controls aren't exactly easy to understand.
The...

Pros: great family fun Cons: rains to much
I purchased this game a few months ago for my younger son's birthday. Quite honestly,at first look, I wasn't at all impressed. It seemed to hard for an 11 year old not to mention his mom.
Of course my son got right into the swing of things...

Pros: Great strategy, easy to learn, addictive! Cons: coaster-building is expensive.
I bought this game after seeing someone I know rave about it. I got hooked. When I installed in on my Pentium 200, I learned how to play it quickly and was succeeding at each level until about 2/3 of the scenerios were complete. Then my wife...
