Pros: Smooth gameplay thats addictive as ever. You'll never want to turn the game off. Cons: Demo might be satisfying enough for some.
I myself am a hardcore gamer. You know the one with the really fast cable modem who everyone refers to as a 'pingwhore'. This should make my opinion a greater influence to your decision.
Before buying any game you ask yourself...

Pros: graphics are awesome, realism, the gameplay Cons: it's sort of pricey
i had my doubts. who doesnt? quake III or unreal tourney? two games guaranteed to be blockbusters, but which would give me the most punch? i read my reviews, i talked to friends, i did it all. i played both on other people's computers. finally, i...

Pros: Graphics are beautiful with fully rendered backrounds, great gameplay, overall, great game. Cons: not enough blood, yeah right!honestly, i cant find anything wrong with this game.
First off the thing that most people will notice about this game is the great graphics. This game is the best first-person PC shooter that you can buy right now.
Many different modes are available including, capture the flag, deathmatch, assault,...

Pros: great graphics, amazing AI, fast gameplay Cons: none that I can think of
This game just truly kicks ass. At first I was a little doubtful of its performance, after all the Quake 3 hype. But, although I've only played the beta version of Quake 3, I can already tell that Unreal Tournament is a lot better. Although Quake 3's...

Pros: Lotsa blood and killing.. Cons: Bodies and bloodstains don't remain.
...once you start playing, you want to play more and more! Is it the great graphics? Maybe an intricate storyline. How about none of the above. It's the fact that this is a deathmatch game. You run around and your only goal it to kill (with a few...

Pros: Best 3D shooter yet! Cons: Doesn't support D3D hardware acceleration in older ATI cards
This game is the perfect culmination of everything you could ever want in a 3d shooter style game. Excellent graphics, near-flawless network game play, sweet weapons, and lots of levels to play on. The bots you can play against are so realistic, you...

Pros: Outstanding soundtrack, incredible gameplay Cons: Can't listen to the soundtrack right off of the CD.
When I first played Unreal, I just thought it was a pretty face. The origional Unreal was kind of dull and boring. Then I heard about Unreal Tournament late in '99. I wasn't quite thrilled that Epic made a "sequel" to Unreal. However, my...

Pros: Smooth glossy graphics, well designed levels and excellent bots. Cons: Will likely be overshadowed by Quake 3 Arena in the near future
This game is nothing short of amazing. Smooth glossy graphics, well designed levels and excellent bots. The fact that it does not require a 3d card will also attract many people to this game (although that's almost irrelevant with the number of people...

Pros: Head shots, jump boots, shield belt, secondary fire mode for all weapons Cons: Lack of skins
Doom was good in it's time. Limited, when you look back. VERY limited.
Quake was better. Much better. If you've EVER played the FANTASY VS FUTURE patch for Quake 1, then you know how good it could get. We played it all the time. Then, there was Duke...

Pros: Unrivalled bots and online play. Very user friendly and modifiable. Cons: Dated Graphics. Poor single campaign.
This is the sort of game that comes once every few games. Blowing nice fresh air into a rank genre "Unreal Tournament" offers so much.
For a start, the weapons are very neatly balanced, and the range of gameplay styles is well...

Pros: Graphics, sounds, gameplay, best game ever! Cons: None really.
Has to be the best game I have ever played. Believe me its flawless. Compare it to its competition, quake arena is horrible. I played both games, and Unreal Tournament (UT) by far beats quake arena. UT is an online multiplayer game with excellent...

Pros: Refreshing, Ease of Use, FUN! Cons: Doesn't get the respect it deserves.
Unreal Tournament faced some reel challengers this year, with Quake 3, Half-Life Opposing Force, and overcame some major hardware hurdles. The original Unreal only played with a 3DFX card (aka Vodoo), but UT, supports many engines, including openGL. In...

Pros: Everything except... Cons: ...the insanely long load times
This is one of the best games I have ever played.
The plot for UT is pretty lame (sanctioned fights between angry space miners), but it is one of the most fun games I have ever played. The game is really designed for multiplayer, but single player...

Pros: Internet Games, Tons of Options Cons: Absolutely None
Every now and then a computer game comes along that becomes a household name for years to come. This is that game. Unreal tournament is perhaps, the best game I have played in quite some time. Easily surpassing Quake 3 in overall enjoyment of playing...

Pros: Everything Cons: None
Unreal Tournament is the best and most polished first person action game I have had the honor of playing in many years. Of course there are many other first person games, you walking around shooting enemies, on the market, but Unreal takes it to a...
