Very competative, especially multi-player. It is hard at first, but you'll get the hang of it. It has battle modes, adventure, arcade, time trial, and a lot others. You can get a lot of cheats on-line, and its great. It is better than the other Crash Games. BUY IT!

First of all, I want to say that I am not a video game person. For the most part, I think video games are a frivolous waste of time and a game has got to be great to get me to play it more than 5 minutes without questioning my sanity. Well, Crash Team Racing is one of these type games. It is incredible! It is a go cart racing game where you pick a character and race on fun whimsical tracks. During the race, you have the opportunity to pick up items like an invisibility shield and projectile missles you can use to gain advantage over the racers in your track. There are enough tracks where you won't get bored, and you can unlock more by winning races. The game also features an adventure mode that gives the game a role-playing twist and a battle mode (you've gotta see). I can play this game for hours! I, the lousy-lazy gamer, am giving this game 5 stars. I will even venture to say it is the best game I have ever played.
