Pros: Excellent graphics, great backround music, easy to get extra lives. Cons: Audio quality could be better, some levels are extremely difficult to solve. The instruction booklet gives a minimal overview of the game itself. Unlike Spyro II there is no map available to view while playing the game.
Having burned out 2 Playstations so far (between the brood and myself) I like to consider my household fairly "game aware" (a polite term for addicted). We have about 25 games that range from learning to trivia to spy / 'shoot 'em up' games....

Pros: Even way back when, Insomniac games were awesome. Cons: No cons to Spyro, he is as fun today as he was then.
PS3 is awesome. While playing Ratchet and Clank Future, my son and I thought about how far video games had come. EA games may be one of the biggest studios, but to us, Insomnniac was always one of our favorites. Way back, before their fantastic ...

Pros: A vast World to explore, comical enemies, great music Cons: Too short, not very challenging
In an age and time when RPGs cloud the game universe, its hard to find a fun game to just sit down and enjoy as a game, not worrying about the storyline or character development. That's why this is a marvel... that even after 8 years, Spyro the ...

Pros: Well-designed, smooth animation Cons: Some levels too difficult for kiddos
OK. So I finally broke down and bought my 8-year-old the grey-boxed Brain Deadener From Hell, a Sony Playstation. I felt bad enough buying him addictive games he could play on my computer, but consoled myself by ensuring that there was at least...

Pros: Easy controls, great graphics, overall fun game to play Cons: Some parts can get frustrating, might be tough to fully complete without the strategy guide
I first got Spyro the year the game was released, which was about 1998, I can't remember exactly. Yet only today did I completely finish the game, not because it's so hard that it takes 3 years to master, but rather just because I never managed to play...

Pros: Ever wanted to be a dragon? Cons: A few bugs and glitches, nothing major
Spyro has now been celebrating his third birthday since Christmas 2000 when Spyro 3 was released in stores. Yet by my clock, he's still new and fresh, and for me, he's been around for 1 1/2 years. It's quite awhile, but the original Spyro...

Pros: Easily played by kids Cons: Time consuming
My daughter started playing video games when she was 4 years old and got bored with them very quickly because a lot of them were too hard for her to play.
After buying numerous Nintendo games for her we decided to get a Sony Playstation...

Pros: Fun and adventurous Cons: Play control kind of lacks
Spyro the Dragon is Sony’s answer to the popular genre that sprung such hero’s as Mario and Luigi, and Sonic the Hedgehog. However, this is not Sony’s first attempt. Crash Bandicoot was made to draw the attention of those Mario and Sonic fans from the...

Pros: cute, challenging at times, great graphics, good music Cons: Spyro's voice and the difficulty
This is the first game I have ever finished in my life. That says something about the game. It hooked me for long enough.
There are many great things about playing this game:
Spyro the Dragon is amazing. Simply amazing. The graphics...

Pros: It's a really fun, lengthy, game for all ages! Cons: Might feel like a bit of a pansy buying it for yourself at the store.
I just recently got into playstation when my husband (who was my boyfriend at the time) moved into our apartment. He is a HUGE playstation fan. So I started by watching him play and realized what I was missing. I had long since played with my old...

Pros: kid friendly, humorous Cons: addicting
The first time I saw Spyro the Dragon was when my nephews were playing it at our last family gathering. It looked like a funny game, so I borrowed it, not knowing that that was a big mistake. Because for the next several days I did nothing else...

Pros: fun game, easy to control, vast levels to explore Cons: older gamers may find Spyro too cutesy
If you're a fan of Nintendo's Yoshi games, then check out Spyro the Dragon, the cutest little purple dragon ever to hit the PlayStation.
Spyro was clearly designed with kids in mind, but it still proves interesting enough to...
