I signed up for this Fanball Bid2play league figuring that this draft deal was going to be pretty cool and could offer some fun and excitement. I am currently in another Exit 42 Fanball league and it runs OK, so I figured this would be OK as well. Well much to my surprise this league has been nothing but a total and complete dissappointment!! Fanball sends you a million e-mails begging you to join Bid2Play, they spend all of this time on setting up their website for it and it is worthless!
Here is why, I go through the complete sign up process following their rules, everything is cool. I send a guy named Dave $24.95 via Pay Pal for the league, my PayPal payment goes through and I get a reciept from Pay Pal that they got my $24.95. Now in the sign up process, they want you to pick 9 days that the draft will run, one round a day. So I pick Sunday 8/6/00 8am-8pm through Monday 8/14/00 for my draft. It is now Sunday 8/6/00 at 11:30am, I have yet to hear one single thing from Fanball regarding this Bid2Play league, not an e-mail, nothing on the front page of Bid2Play NOTHING!!!! At this point who knows what is going to happen, but obviously Fanball does not need to be putting out leagues that they have NO IDEA how to operate!!
At this point, I have to say DO NOT JOIN THIS GARBAGE!! Save your $24.95 and put it in another reputable league like ESPN or something not Fanball Bid2Play!!!

Ok, after numerous e-mails a guy named John e-mailed me back, he was pretty cool. I guess my problem occured when I registered at work with a network connection, they had no e-mail for me on file with the Bid2Play game, so I didn't get a team. I signed up for a new team using a credit card from my home computer and registration went fine. My league filled up pretty quick, my draft started this morning at 8am, one team short with 11 instead of 12. Each round of the draft they give you 20 random players to bid on, previous to the draft they publish the players that are going to be released. Well, in this mornings round Jay Fielder showed up on the draft board and his name was not previously released (like anyone wants him anyways!). So far it is going OK, there is some decent action from teams and I am only 1 hr. and 15 mins. in the draft. I will edit this article again after the draft is over! By the way, John from Fanball did say that they would refund the original $25 I paid them through Pay Pal. I will keep you all posted!!!
