CPWP's Full Review: The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time for Nintendo 6...
I can remember my days as a young lad (sign) the good old days, when the shear amazement at the then fairly new technology of the original Nintendo was still fresh in my mind. Eight bits, how could it possibly get better than this? If I had only know... Before I get too far off on my nostalgia tangent, the whole point is to recreate my first encounter with the name ,Zelda. It was a quite a good game then (if your old enough to remember, it even inspired a cartoon) and several sequels later, it has found it's way to a television screen near you, through your Nintendo 64. Needless to say, the game has come a long way from the graphically crude Nintendo days ,'cause who would buy it if it had'nt.But in comparison, this game is as much a revolution as it is an evolution. Where to begin?!?! I'll lay it all on the line here. This game is about as good as it gets! Tons of levels, refined game-play, killer graphics, well thought out story line, and more secrets than you can shake a cattle prod at! There are just so many things to do, so many challenges! It's kinda like falling asleep while you are reading a J.R.R Tolkien Novel , and having one of those intense, realistic dreams based on what you just read. To me this game IS a gamers dream. I like the fact that they made it long enough that they did'nt have to add one of those annoying levels that I seem always to be getting stuck on. I found this thing so thoroughly enjoyable on so many levels, and I'm sure that no matter what age or sex you are, you will be as please with it as I am. I'm not going to give away too much of what this game is all about, you'll just have to trust me on this one, and enjoy this delightful fusion of amusement and amazement!
BTW, I've completed this game four times, and I'm still finding things I missed in prior plays. It's still fun! Can't wait to see what the next Zelda game brings!
