HomerSim222's Full Review: Ready 2 Rumble Boxing for Nintendo 64
R2R is the first boxing game to come out for the N64. They did great job on it. I loved every bit of it.
First, the graphics are great. One of the best parts of the game is the camera views. You can change to first-person view, second-person, corner-side, and more. If you look at first-person, you can view you opponent's face. If he's losing it'll look beat up.
The play-control isn't the best, but it's not the worst either. Some of the moves can be tricky, but you get the hang of it after a while.
In R2R you start out with three boxers. You must pick one to train and fight with. Then you can change your boxer and do the same with them.
To train you boxer you must actually train. You can use a punching bag, take pills, and more. It is really fun, but expensive too train.
The game has many characters and challenges. I think that if you want a sport of boxing game, this is the one.
