Pros:Numerous ships, systems and upgrades, plug in capabilities
Cons:Perhaps too many choices

This is a truly excellent game. From the beginning, the game is what you make it out to be. Do you want to trade goods or run missions, or both? Later on, you can start to choose allegiances to one or more of several different factions, each with their own special missions and special upgrades. You can also choose to take no sides, and attempt to keep all sides happy, a very difficult task. Do you want to be a trader? Maybe you'd like to be a Mercenary? Or are you a pirate? There are dozens of ships to choose from, numerous upgrades, and a whole slew of missions to keep you busy. If the huge galaxy gets boring, download a plug-in for free from the Ambrosia Website and either add a new aspect to the game, or completely change the game in it's entirety. This game, although slow to start out, leads to an endless game that can be enjoyed for hours upon hours. The choices are tremendous, so much so, that there might even be too many. If you are ready for an excellent space strategy game, Escape Velocity: Override is for you!
