The Bottom Line tips everyone needs for taiming the little electric rat.
Easy way to beat Brock Beating Brock in yellow can be tough seeing how your strongest Pokemon by the time you meet him is probably Pikachu. Now fighting Brock with Pikachu will make battling him with Charmmander seem easy. But there is a Pokemon that can beat Brock easily Nidoran. Go west of Viridian city (careful not to go to far or else you will have to fight Gary.) and explore the first area of grass you get into until you find a Nidoran (male or female it doesn’t matter.). Train it up to level 12 and it will learn the rock crushing move double kick (note for those with Red and Blue while you can catch a Nidoran near viridian city it will not learn double kick in till it’s well past level 40.). Take it to Brock’s gym and you should easily crush his rock type Pokemon. How to get the starter Pokemon. All though you start off with Pikachu you can easily get all 3 of the starter Pokemon from Red and Blue. Charmmander. Charmmander is the easiest Pokemon to get out of the 3. Go north of Cerulean City and beat your rival and nugget bridge. Turn left after Nugget Bridge and talk to the first person you see. He will say that he is quitting Pokemon training and want’s to know if you would like to have his Charmmander. Squrtile Another easy one, after beating Lt.Surge and getting the thunder badge talk to officer Jenny in Vermilion city. She will give you a Squritle that has been causing mischief and needs a good trainer. Squritle is the best of the bunch and is a good solution to those of you who don’t want to go thorough the hassle of evolving a Magikarp into a Gyarados. Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur is the hardest one and you probably won’t get him intil you have at least gotten your 6 badge. You have to treat Pikachu well enough that he gets a heart over his head when ever you talk to him. Go to the house just to the left of the Pokemon center in Cerulean City. Inside the house you will meet a lady who cares for sick and injure Pokemon. When she sees that your Pikachu is happy she will give you a Bulbasaur. Prepare for trouble and make it double: One of the neatest things about Pokemon Yellow is that Jessie and James pop up to annoy you just like they do in the TV series. They’re not tough but you can’t avoid fighting them like you can most other trainers. Here is where they appear at in the game. Mt Moon. After you get a Pokemon fossil these two will pop up demanding that you give them your new fossil. This can be the toughest of them all seeing how you have not gotten any Psychic Pokemon yet. I suggest you using a Geodude. His strong attacks should make menace meat out of Ekans and Koffing and totally out power Meowth. Celedon city: right before getting to Giovanni. Jessie and James guard the door to there bosses room. Koffing, Ekans, and Meowth will be at higher levels. But you should have gotten an Abra by now and have evolved it into a Kadabra (if you have friends with the game you should trade and get a much more powerful Alkazam). Use Alkazams Confusion attack to knock out Ekans and Koffing, The technique will probably shoot Meowth out of the sky too, but if your Alkazam health gets low don’t be afraid to trade it for another Pokemon. On top Pokemon tower in Lavander. These two have kidnap Mr. Fuji and are holding him hostage. To make matters worse it seems that Ekans and Koffing have evolved into Arbok and Wheezing. Use your Psychic Pokemon just like last time. Just make sure he isn’t to hurt from fighting all the ghost you had to fight to get to the top of the tower. Saffron city in Sliph Co. Building. Once again these too are guarding their boss. This is your final round against them but don’t worry they still haven’t gotten any tougher. If your Psychic Pokemon has learn Psychic or Psybeam don’t be afraid to use it. Both of them will send Arbok and Wheezing flying, and Meowth should put up to much of a fight. There are four Pokemon that evolve when you trade them and you should not hesitate to trade with a friend has soon has you get them. Pokemon that evolve by trade have stats that are much higher then there unevolve form. And to make it better they learn moves at the same level has there unevolve forms so there is no reason not to evolve ASP. The Pokemon are Kadabra will turn into Alkazam Haunter will turn into Gengar Machoke will turn into Machamp Graveler will turn into Golem (Ps could somebody please rate my review on Pokemon Yellow thank you) |
